Forgiveness

"Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." -- Colossians 3:13

HIS Fruit

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
There is no law against these things!

Suffering For Jesus Testimony

"Jesus has become my strength in my weakness ... In our culture, we're told to run away from suffering ... but we need to embrace it ... (and) allow suffering to break us and to connect us more with Jesus ... so we can enjoy Jesus more. It's a blessing in disguise." — Naghmeh Abedini, wife of Pastor Saeed Abedini, imprisoned in Iran for his faith ...

God and Jabez

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,
“Oh, that You would bless me indeed,
          And enlarge my territory,
That Your hand would be with me,
And that You would keep me from evil,
That I may not cause pain.”
So God granted him what he requested.

Jesus Is My Bridge Over Troubled Water

BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER
(written by Paul Simon)

When you’re weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes,
I will dry them all
I’m on your side, oh, when times get tough
And friends just can’t be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When you’re down and out
When you’re on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I’ll take your part, oh, when darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

David's 5 Stones

From Max Lucado’s book “Facing Your Giants”

?  Why did David pick up 5 stones

Using the fingers of my hand:   5 “Ps”

Thumb PAST   Remember the faithfulness of God in the past

Space between thumb and pointer finger – represents the valley between me and the giant.

Pointer finger – PRAYER (never face a giant without this)

Middle and longest finger – PRIORITY of the integrity of God’s Holy Name

Ring finger – PASSION  go toward the giant with the confidence of God’s presence and help.
Pinky finger – PERSISTENCE – David struck the giant with 1st stone but he still had 4 more, not in case he missed but to strike other giants in Goliath’s family.

"And I Am Alive In You"

Giver of every breath I breathe
Author of all eternity
Giver of every perfect thing
To You be the glory
Maker of Heaven and of Earth
No one can comprehend Your worth
King over all the universe
To You be the glory

And I am alive because I'm alive in You

It's all because of Jesus I'm alive
It's all because the blood of Jesus Christ
That covers me and raised this dead man's life
It's all because of Jesus I'm alive
I'm alive, I'm alive

Giver of every breath I breathe
Author of all eternity
Giver of every perfect thing
To You be the glory
Maker of Heaven and of Earth
No one can comprehend Your worth
King over all the universe
To You be the glory

And I am alive because I'm alive in You

It's all because of Jesus I'm alive
It's all because the blood of Jesus Christ
That covers me and raised this dead man's life
It's all because of Jesus

Every sunrise sings Your praise
The universe cries out Your praise
I'm singing freedom all my days
Now that I'm alive

I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive

If HE does this, why don't I trust HIM?

but a photograph of a star forming,

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Because YOU Love me...

For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful

You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall, you're the one
Who saw me through, through it all
You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand, I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love, I had it all
I'm grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I was loved by you

You were always there for me,
the tender wind that carried me
The light in the dark shining your love into my life
Because you loved me
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

Lifting My Eyes

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains -- where does my help come from? My help come from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth."    - Psalm 121:1-2
* Turn your eyes upon JESUS, Look full in His wonderful face; And the things of earth will grow strangely dim ~ In the light of His GLORY an GRACE. *

our grands and youth

Amen!

"I wish I'd partied a little less. People always say 'be true to yourself.' But that's misleading, because there are two selves. There's your short term self, and there's your long term self. And if you're only true to your short term self, your long term self slowly decays."

Grandparent's prayer - Landon and Kyla

           LOVE MY GRAND BABIES

"When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will give you mighty inner strength through His Holy Spirit.  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust Him.  May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.  And may you have the power to understand, we all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high and how deep His love really is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great, you will never fully understand it.  Then you will be filled with the fulness of life and power that comes from God."  Ephesians 3:14 - 19 (New Living Translation)

Peace of Jesus

"Do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
- Philippians 4:6-7

Rain

Thank You heavenly Father for your blessings of rain on our parched land.

Psalm 65:6-12   (Living Bible paraphrase)
He formed the mountains by his mighty strength. He quiets the raging oceans and all the world's clamor. In the farthest corners of the earth the glorious acts of God shall startle everyone.  The dawn and sunset shout for joy! He waters the earth to make it fertile. The rivers of God will not run dry!  He prepares the earth for his people and sends them rich harvests of grain.  He waters the furrows with abundant rain.  Showers soften the earth, melting the clods and causing seeds to sprout across the land.  Then he crowns it all with green, lush pastures in the wilderness; hillsides blossom with joy.
