You Are A Shield About Me

David then rehearsed God’s word,
“You are a shield about me,
My glory and the One who lifts my head.”
He then was able to lay down and go to sleep (rest)
in the midst of his enemies.

David had fled from the palace and was surrounded by enemies who are saying that his God had abandoned him. He responded in prayer and refocused by praying and didn't focus on the enemy.

David then rehearsed God’s word, “You are a shield about me, My glory and the One who lifts my head.” He then was able to lay down and go to sleep (rest) in the midst of his enemies.
